To the wife, son, parents, extended family, friends and fellow NYS Troopers of Trooper Joseph A. Longobardo I offer my most sincere condolences.
As a survivor family member of a fallen NYS trooper I know the grief felt when God calls one of His children home much too young and much too soon as He has done with this fine Trooper. I will keep his family and all those who knew him in my prayers as they cope with this painful and tragic loss.
May God's perpetual light shine upon Trooper Longobardo and may he rest in His eternal peace.
May his family and all those who valued him be comforted by God's grace and mercy as they go forward during this difficult time.
Again, please accept my deepest sympathy.

Joe,
When I heard of your passing it truly saddened me and reminded me of 2 of fellow worker's who were taken from us far to early. One of them had a young son like you did. May God bless you and give your family strength in their time of need.
