Reflections for Trooper Joseph Anthony Longobardo
Joe,
The legacy you leave is a reflection of your character and it was of the highest calibre. Your memory and the contributions you selflessly made to so many will forever be reflected in the eyes of the thousands who will never forget you. May your family always stay safe, and your son grow strong and proud in the memory of his father.
It has been said that there exists no greater love than he who would lay down his life for his fellow man as he is truly of god.

Dear Mrs. Longobardo,
It takes a strong woman to be the wife of a soldier. I know.
It takes a strong woman to be the wife of someone involved in dangerous public service such as the wife of a firefighter, or someone in law enforcement. I know.
Of all those who lost Joe Longobardo, the loss is the greatest to you and your son. My heart and prayers go out to the both of you.
It is the weekend of 911's 5th anniversary. As it is now being reported many of those who were babies, and lost their daddy's that day, talk to their Daddy's in their hearts. May your son also be given this gift.
Trooper, You gave to this nation at war, and you gave your all to this state. You know the perp has been apprehended and now prayers are being said for your death not to have been in vain; that some good come out of the ashes of your untimely death.
As is their duty, your brothers will watch over those you loved and had to leave behind.
I'm sure the Lord saw you and said, "Well done."
Rest in Peace.
