You volunteered, for this "specific" assignment! You weren't even supposed to be there! Knowing all the risks involved you took them anyway, always puting others first!
You are definitely a HERO!
I pray for all law enforcement officers who go out there (every day) and put their lives on the line to serve and protect their community! I am with all of you!! David

I have come to this site many times. I have left words of reflection for many, many officers here. I didn't know them but I know what they stood for and I know they gave their life trying to make a difference so that we could live in a better and safer world. Today I leave a reflection for an officer from my area. He is a man who you won't find anyone who has a bad thing to say about then or now. A man that always had that smile you see here on his face and was lovingly called "smiley". A man who didn't even have to work that night but did so we would have that horrible criminal, who terrorized his neighbors, was being arrested for the rape of his own friends mother, and is a career criminal, off of the street. Why does it happen, Why is it that this criminal is allowed to even breathe air, and this fine officer , who had a wife and a 10 month old son, that looks exactly like him, and who had his bulletproof vest on is gone? I don't know. I trust that God has his reason and needed to call home. Thank you Officer Schroeder your good work on Earth is done. You now Patrol the streets of gold.** I want everyone who reads this today, who is not a Police Officer, to remember the next time they see a Police Officer THANK THEM for all that they do for us. We take for granted their job and what they do for us everyday.

To Amy,

I can never imagine your horrible pain. I just want to Thank You for standing behind your husband and supporting him in his job as a Police Officer. That is not an easy task to take on. I truly believe that God unites Police Officer's with an extra special woman when he is choosing a Police Officer's wife. I only hope that you will find some comfort in knowing that your husband was a good man, with and without his badge on. May you find comfort in knowing that he IS a TRUE HERO. That word is thrown around too lightly in today's world. I know that the Cleveland Police Department has taken you under their wing. I have faith that they, his Brother's in Blue, will always be in your and your son's life. They will share stories with your son and tell him what a good man his Daddy was and someone he can be very, very proud of. God Bless You.
