Your heroism and service is honored today, the 82nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I have a brother who retired from the Madisonville Police Department and I am currently Chief of the Earlington Police Department where you worked at one time. I feel an even greater connection to you for these reasons as well as being a brother in law enforcement. May God bless you and your family. Job well done. It's not how they lived that made them heroes but how they died.
