Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Robert L. Broaddus

George Wilson was shot and killed in October 1877 in Prescott, Arizona. Virgil Earp was part of the posse who hunted Wilson down. His last words were, "Lord have mercy on me, a poor worthless, drunken son of a b____." That he was.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 133rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

You deserved more respect from your "guards".

Rest In Peace

You are remembered today and thank you Sir for your service.

This writer hopes that justice was served on your behalf, and believes that even no records exist of such, that justice was served.
