Peter,
Even though I only knew you for a short time, I felt like I knew you forever. I miss your smile, your sarcasm and our debates that we used to have. You were truly a great friend to many and a great officer. I will never forget our ride along that we had together. I had such a great time with you. You were loved by many. We miss you!

I did not know Officer Faatz, but as a sibling of a fallen Ga police officer, i know the pain that his family is going through. During these times the only question that you will have is Why. It is sometimes hard to understand decisions made by God, but, his decisions are the all time best. You may not think it is, but it is.

The Badge
It is polished and shiny and looks so fine.
Once you earn it you have to tow the line.
The minute you wear it upon your chest
it becomes a symbol that you are the best.
It means honesty, integrity, and fairness to all.
Your life is never your own, but at the publics call.
Night or day, any hour, it makes you a mark.
It doesn't protect you from a shot in the dark.
Over the years the shine starts to fade,
but brighter still is the man its made.
It is often what separates you from the crowd.
It is a second family of which you are proud.
So now comes your time, you can't be denied.
When you pin on your badge, wear it with pride
The minute you wear it upon your chest
it becomes a symbol that you are the best.

We once again have lost a part of the brotherhood of law enforcement. These times are difficult and the family and department has a long road of recovery ahead of them. The staff of Cops Evangelist Ministries would like you to know that we are and will continue to pray for you in this time of sorrow. Remember that God will not give you more then you can handle. Philippians 4:13 says…I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.
