I wish I had met my Grandfather. Being 42 when he was shot and killed, left my father, Clifton L. Massey, II, who was 18 at that time, and a younger daughter. My Aunts family had my Grandfather's memorialized on the Wall of Fallen Officers in Washingtonian DC in 2013. God Bless you Grandaddy. Your son is now with you again and I will know you when I come home some year in the future.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 63rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
