To the family of Deputy Sheriff Charles A. Fisher, I offer my sincere condolences. May God's perpetual light shine upon your loved one and may he rest in His eternal peace. It is always a terrible loss, no mother ever wants to see her child, no matter the age, called home before her. To a wife who hopes to spend the future with her husband enjoying grandchildren and family it is a devastating heartbreak. For the adult children it is sad to lose a parent just when you really start to appreciate what it means to be a parent because that is what you are too. For siblings to lose a brother is also very difficult especially if he has lead a life of which to be proud. I can only believe that Deputy Sheriff Fisher will be rewarded for the way he lived, serving others, and even in his last moments, continuing to care about others by being an organ donor. God Bless him, his family and I pray that you all will be given the graces you will need to get through this very painful time. With my deepest sympathy.

To you Mr. Fisher a great thank you for your service, from what I have heard you were a very kind and giving person in life as well as in death. This time you have given the ultimate sacrafice and you are a true hero for all you have done.
To your wife, I know right now you are feeling lost and overwhelmed, you have soo much on your mind and soo much that you do not want to think about. I cannot say that you will not hurt or that things will be better soon, however you will have your family to help you through. Talk with your family and remember the good times tell funny stories and celebrate his life. I know right now that seems soo hard but he is looking down on you and will be your angel in heaven as he was your hero on earth.
To your children I know your pain all to well I lost my dad on that same ramp in Nov of 05. I can honestly say I know what you are feeling. I am not gonna lie and say that it doesn't still hurt or that I do not think about him everyday, but I take joy in knowing that he is watching over my two little boys every second of every day. And I know that your dad is doing the same for you.
To the rest of us who are saddened and hurt by your loss, we will never forget all that you have done for your country and community, we have lost yet another hero.
If there is anything that I or my family can do for you, please do not hesitate the Portsmouth P.D. know how to reach us.
With the deepest regrets for your loss and the deepest sympathy for what you are going through right now.
