Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Perry Landrum was born on December 12, 1860 in Jefferson County, Texas. He was my great grandmother's brother and the son of a Civil War veteran who was an early Texas pioneer.
At the time of Perry Landrum's death he was the father of eight children.
My book entitled The Landrum Family of Beaumont, Texas - 1989, was the source for the photo and bio of Perry.
