Dear Grandad:
It has been 91 years since your EOW and I regret I never got to know you. I’m sure you’ve been watching over us and you already know that your wife single-handedly raised 10 children who went on to serve their country, contribute to the community and become outstanding citizens. My days on the farm with your kids are some of my fondest memories. I’m happy that I joined the family as one of your grandkids, and now have grandkids of my own. I have lived a wonderful life due to the sacrifice you, and so many others, have made to keep us safe. There’s still a missing piece of my heart that is always connected to you -the grandfather I never knew. You are well remembered and loved. Thank you. Albert Glenn Kiser, Jr.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to the native state of myself and my cherished son Larry Lasater who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

The bullets that kill our beloved officers kill a part of everyone who cared for them.

Rest In Peace.
