Ox,My brother,I am deeply saddened by this tragic event. I constantly think about you and your family. I know that it is a hard time for them right now. I can remember the first time that I met you when I was a u.c. agent for TPSO and doing u.c. work for you. I always remembered you having a smile on your face and never in a bad mood. Since that I have worked with SJSO and have got to know you on a more personal level, I have to say that you are a true friend and hero to me and everyone you blessed with you presence. You were a great leader and still are in my mind. I can remember sitting in your office last week, talking about the cruiser one cars that you collected and helping me with ordering one. No matter what someone needed, you were there to help. This has been a very hard event to deal with and I keep asking myself, why? I know that you will look over everyone here and you are in the arms of GOD now, he has called you home. REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER!!!!

So tragically taken from this world. You paid the ultimate price. Knowing what the consequences could bring, you accepted the task with so much sacrifice. Without hesitation, you gave your life for our preservation.
You will be laid to rest with Honors in such a glorious way we will never forget. Twenty one guns saluting for you, as we stand at attention to pay respects which are due. There will not be a dry eye in the hall as the radio announces your final roll call.
Thoughts of you will always remain. You have touched so many lives, and they will never be the same.
God bless you as you are laid to rest.

There are heroes who walk among us
never looking for glory or praise
They don't seek recognition
for their thoughtful, caring ways.
Living lives of deep commitment
providing for those they hold dear
Steadfast with a quiet strength
through times of laughter and tears.
You are a person like that to all
The most selfless man by far
So Ox, I'd like to thank you
For being the HERO that you are!

Rest In Peace......We Have The Point

To Captain Octavio "Ox" Gonzales

I never got the chance to get to know you, but whenever we passed each other at Division, you would go out of your way to say hello to me, one of the new faces you didn't recognize. May you watch over us and may we have the same courage you did to do the job that you so graciously gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Ox,

We have had the opportunity to work with you on many occasions. We feel blessed to have you as a part of our lives, professionally and personally. It is hard to move on only with the memories of a person, but when the bonds that were created and the memories are so strong it helps us to walk with that silent partner. You will be sadly missed and we look forward to seeing you again someday!
