Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

It is still so impossible to me Paul, that one year ago today our life was so normal, high end happy, and "our version" of regular. You and our children are the absolute greatest thing that ever happened to me, and more than I ever could have hoped for. We had more in our too short time than most people dream of in a lifetime - we were blessed. I know you see the amazing outpouring of love and support around me and the children, all because of your beautiful life. That, and the strength I know you send me every moment, is what will carry us through. I see you in each of our beautiful children, and I am so grateful to have part of you in them. I know now we were so right Paul, that the children were the only thing we would leave behind us that ever really mattered. Rest easy my beloved husband, I have our watch and I will see our family through. For as long as I live, and with our children,I promise that you will always live, be remembered, and forever loved. I can't believe that it has been almost a year since you left this earth. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and your family, and though I do believe that you are in a better place, it's still so hard to understand why you had to leave so soon.

I know that you are up there keeping watch over all your loved ones as you did here on earth. Your spirit and prescence will never leave those that loved you most, and your memory will never leave those that knew you, if only for a brief moment in time.

Returning from Police Memorial Week in Washington DC, I give our great thanks to the honor shown to our beloved husband and father, Trooper Paul Barry. Our special thanks goes to Colonel Mark Delaney for accompanying us at this difficult time. Your presence carried the message clearly,of Paul's service. In addition, our deepest thanks to our MSP honor guard who proudly represented Paul. Although i never was able to meet mr. Barry, through the interactions with his children, I know he must have been an amazing person. It takes a special person to raise children as incredible as the sons and daughters of state trooper Barry, and through them, his legacy will live on eternally. I did not know this man or his family bit was very sad to hear of this tragedy.The flyer at the Tornadoes game made me remember this tragedy and how I wish I could help.I can't afford to donate at this time but hopefully in he future I can.
