To my Fallen Brother~
POLICEMAN'S PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL

St. Michael, Heaven's glorious Commissioner of Police, who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premises of all it's undesirables, look with kindly and professional eye on your earthly force. Give us cool heads, stout hearts, hard punches, an uncanny flair for investigation, and wise judgement. Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores, strict with law-breakers, and impervious to temptations. You know, St. Michael, from your own experiences with the devil, that the policeman's lot on Earth is not always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration. And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your Heavenly Force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of God, as we have been to guard the city of men. Amen.

My prayers are with Off. Darden's daughter, wife, and mother. My prayers are also deeply with the officer who made the ill-fated decision to use deadly force. The guilt he will carry in his heart is more than anyone will ever fathom. I'm not a peace officer but I respect the duty that each officer has sworn to uphold. Officer Darden ticketed me for a traffic violation two years ago and he was nothing less than professional. His advice to me roadside that day still rings clear in my head. I hope during his tenure he left the same permanent impression of professionalism to new recruits coming into the field as he did on me that day.

A rare gift from God is what you were and will always be. There are some people who come in your life and never leave because of the imprint they leave on your heart. Seneca I will always remember your smile and character as a distinguished, determined yet caring and compassionate young man. You were truly one of a kind and one that will never be forgotten. God promises to never put more on us than we can bear, I believe that and I send my prayers up in intercession for your family. To the family I would like to say, he was with us for a short while but only on lend, hold fast to the memories you have as Seneca will always be alive in them. With Love, Torlecia Brooks A Friend

I like others read with sadness the lists of officers that are logged on this website.
I'm shocked by what i see, you all pay a high price every time you do the job, whatever people might say, the vast majority of law abiding citizens the world over, live in relative peace thanks to those who put their lives on the line, may god watch over your family, and help them through these tragic times, R.I.P
