I knew Mike when he lived in New Jersey. For about 5 or 6 years he
was like my other older brother. Mike,my cousins and my family would
camp in Maine. He let me drive his Gran Torino once with him behind
me in the seat when I was about 10 years old. Never forget it,can
remember it like it was a movie I just watched. He was the most
honest person I ever met. Later in life I lost track because he moved
to Virginia to pursue his goal of being a police officer. I later
became an officer for my local Sheriff's Office. I made it to
retirement. Mike didn't, which is probably the most unfair thing I
could ever know. The world lost one of it's best and not just because
he was a cop. If anyone got a ticket to heaven it's Mike with not one
doubt.

Mike,
We grew up together - Some of the best times of my life were spent on the playground with you at St. Francis. I think of you often and want to thank you for the many good memories.
Until we meet again...

Thinking of you again today. Hope you're still keeping watch over us all here at Mclean and the rest of the county. Thank you again for everything you taught me. I'm trying my best to pass down your wisdom and advise as an FTI the way you did to me. I see your daughters every year at police week. Always the same spot. Hard to believe they're so grown up. Peace be with you my brother. We miss you.

I was working at INOVA Fairfax Hospital when Vicky and Mike were flown to us for care. I will never forget how hard everyone worked to save their lives while being so distraught over the kind and hard working officers we came to know in the ER. Mike and Vicky, you will always be remembered, especially by me. I was a young nurse at the time, and I will never forget how many people you touched on the street and in the ER. Thinking about you during each and every holiday season. My heart goes out to your families!
