Hi Vicky, I rode for you during the 2007 Police Unity Tour. I just wanted to drop a note to let you know that I was thinking of you and your family. Now in the DB, I will hang my Unity Tour jacket with your patch at my desk. I will never forget your ultimate sacrifice. I hope that your family is well. Rest in peace Sister.

Detective Armel,
I was born and raised in Fairfax County and continued to work there until I left the area at the end of 2006. I am now a police officer in Pennsylvania but I still remember that awful day in Chantilly. I thought about May 8th, 2006 many times during those endless police aptitude tests, oral interviews, and those long days at the police academy. Though I never met you, I mean it when I say that you make me proud to be a police officer. You made every cop proud on that sad day. Rest in peace Sister, we've got the watch from here.

It's hard to believe it's been 6 years ago today. My son, who is named after you, wants to be a police officer when he grows up. I haven't even told him about you yet, I wanted to wait until he is older so that he could understand that importance of his name. You've made such an impact, I'm sure you're doing the same in Heaven. You're so missed.

Vicky,
As a former member of the Fairfax county explorer program, and then academy applicant, I miss you. We met at the Spaghetti Dinner at the FCPD Association Hall off Popes Head Road. We all were serving that night, and I got to shake hands with you........ a night that I will always remeber. The tragic day you left, I was leaving the Massey Building, then got a phone call as soon as I was leaving an interview, about what happend. I Cried for hours. got home turned on the TV, and then shut it off right away, I could watch anymore. Attending the funeral, along with my fellow explorers, we stood outside before the service began, crying, remembering, and praying. This is a day that I will remember as long as I am on this earth, with the hopes of one day seeing you again. We miss you and you will never be FORGOTTEN.

Vicky I remember our days in Reston like it was yesterday. I also remeber being told to go to the E.R and maintain. the scene not knowing who it was. Then finding out as you came in I re- live that moment every single day of my life. The helpless feeling the training kicking in and doing what I had to do, then when things slowed down sitting in my cruiser and relizing I had lost a very good friend and one hell of a cop. I think it really hit me on the long drive home seeing my wife and welling up and then falling out and lossing it. I will never forget you and Mike I miss both of everyday. I know you are watching over us

On this 5th anniversary (and mother's day), I want you to know that you are remembered just as much as that day 5 years ago. Those of us who never had the pleasure of meeting you have still been touched by your life. I pray for your family, especially your children.
