Sarge,
I will never forget hearing the radio transmissions the night we lost you, we could hear your K9 in the background crying for you to be okay, he cared...he knew. I've only known you through training, and saw you last month at Isaac's memorial, dilligently searching the perimeter for potential threats- you still stopped to say, "Hi!", thank-you! You always had a smile on your face, no matter how tired you looked or how busy you were. Bless you and yours, my fellow Marine and Officer, semper fi Sarge.

For all of us who loved you--we knew you to be a man of honor, discipline, intelligence, boundless energy, generosity and with a love of life. I hope that your infectious giggle stays with me forever.
You never met a person you weren't willing to devote some time to if you had knowledge or skills that would help them.
You celebrated your friends accomplishments (mine included) with an enthusiasm that made us feel cherished and loved.
We will miss your smile and kindness forever.

While it is no consolation for your loss, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and fellow officers of Sergeant Tsujimoto.
While I did not have the privilege to have known him personally, I am certain that he has found a place in heaven through his selfless service to those he swore to protect.
Rest in peace my friend; those of us who remain will cover your post on the thin blue line.

Darryl, thank you for always making the time for me. You were and still are an inspiration to me and a role model for what I want to become. Thank you for taking Otis into your home and giving him a chance. He was important to me. I'll always remember you.

I never met Darryl or his dog. I have been a neighbor of Darryl's parents for about three years and know how much they love thier dog Taibo. They always spoke glowingly about their son to me and his work with the SFPD and the K-9 unit. It may seem odd that I write this since I never met Darryl but I feel like I knew him anyway. Judging by the number of officers outside my house today I can see Darryl was a very special person.
I extend my deepest sympathy to Tina and Sam and all of his friends, relatives and coworkers who will miss him so.

Hi Darryl,
I just got home from the memorial service.
We counted 70 dog teams including Douglas County, Nevada. Deputy Koontz said he remembers and appreciates your kind words at his K9 partner's memorial service.
Gene asked me to help sweep Bill Graham before the service. Then he and Dave told me to line up in front with your handlers. It was an honor I will never forget.
You will be with all of us at every training session and every call-out and I know you will have my six.
Rest easy Darryl and God bless,
John and "Gretel"

We are saddened once again with the sad news of another hero taken from us. It is a great loss for the family and department during this crisis. We might not know the right words to say, or even know how to say them, but we can pray for your family and friends. May the Lord give them strength through this time.

Darryl's passion for dogs was so great that even after a day of working with them professionally, he was willing to spend his personal time with us and our dog. We are so very grateful for his time, advice and support. The animals as well as the police force and community have lost a terrific advocate and human being.
