Sweetheart,
Sorry to say that you had been covered in Easter flowers and decorations again by me, your mom, Shawn and my mom and dad;) We just love ya!
Today was a good day...we all went to church and I could feel you right there with me. The Easter message is always so powerful, comforting, and peaceful. It's also one I know you loved because it was the ultimate story of triumph! Our nation and this world is getting to be more and more a scary place to live Baby. I have to say that it is always comforting to be reminded that a wretch like me has only been saved by grace!
"Lord, thank you for giving me a loving husband who had you in his heart. Lord, thank you for loving us, the unworthy, so much that you would suffer and die in our place. Father thank you for being triumphant over death so that we may live together forever in Glory! ~Amen"
Happy Easter Baby!

Sweetheart,
I found the perfect Valentine's Day card for you. It says;
In our marriage, we share so many things that make us one in thought, in spirit, and in love.
And when I think about all we share, I cannot help but thank the Lord- for it is He who made us for each other and who led us to the special love we've found together...
I feel so blessed to have you for a husband, because there's no one else I'd rather spend forever with than you.
Happy Valentine's Day with all my love FOREVER Baby!

Thank you, sir, for your dedicated service to your agency and community. From reading some of the reflections, you were well-liked and respected. From reading your wife's reflections, you were a Christian and loved to have fun. Thank you again for your courageous service and unfortunate sacrifice.

Sweetheart,
A few days ago I found a ticket stub in your car from when we went to Magic Mountain for your birthday. Eva thinks you planted it there to remind me of the good time we had. I think you did too because I never saw it there before, hmmmm.
We're all loving you and missing you so much Baby...you made life fun.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Sweetheart,
I know you are the one who is truly "home for Christmas" now. I'm waiting patiently to come home too...right now you are in my heart and my dreams.
I love you so much!!!!
Verse from the song "Going Home For Christmas"
by Steven Curtis Chapman
I’m going home for Christmas and I’m going home to stay;
I’m going home for Christmas and nothing’s gonna keep me away.
I’ll be with the ones I love to celebrate the Savior’s birth;
This gift will be worth more to me than anything on earth.
I’m going home, home for Christmas.
Merry Christmas Baby...

Sweetheart,
Your mom, Aunt Karen, Grandma Cassidy, and I planted a "Rob Garden" in our backyard this past weekend. Since they actually did the planting (instead of me) the flowers should actually grow! Do you have any idea how much your are loved and missed!?...

Rob,
You're on my mind a lot today. I think back now to the conversations we had about so many things. The fact that you had an opinion about pretty much everything makes me smile. Sometimes serious, but most of the time you just cracked me up. At the time, you were probably one of the most misunderstood people I knew. Having listened to others talk about their relationships with you makes me understand better the person you were, and the the legacy you left. I will always cherish your many kind yet stong words of advice. I can still hear you say, "Nic, always be true to yourself." You were always true to yourself Rob. You changed for no one. That's one of the many things I will always admire that about you.
Thanks again for being a good friend.

Officer Targosz,
I have had the honor of speaking to your wife on a couple of different occasions, and I can only imagine how wonderful of a man was married to such a devoted and brave woman. Her words of you bring me to tears, which come so often these days. I wish so much you were here - for her, for your family, and for your friends.
Although we haven't spoken much, Brigitte has given me strength to struggle through the loss of my beloved, Officer Tony Holly. I think of her and know - despite others' insistance that I "move on" - that she understands how I feel and that it's ok. I was just reading her reflections about hoping that God doesn't return her to you as an "old woman", the desires to have a family with you, and all of the 'why's' that constantly bombard. Those same thoughts race through my head each and every day. I pray for her strength, as it is a foundation for my strength. We put our trust in God's hands and send our love to our "sweethearts".
With respect and gratitude,
~B

Officer Targosz,
Every day I drive through the intersection where you lost your life. It reminds me, every day, of the high price police men and women sometimes must pay to protect and serve an often ungrateful constituency. I am overwhelmed with gratitude; our debt to you and your family can never be repaid. God bless all who protect and serve.

Sweetheart,
I saw this poem the other day and thought it was so beautiful. Little did you know a sticky note with a shopping list you wrote would become so precious but it is...everthing is.
"Should You Go First"
by Robert Rosswell
Should you go first, and I remain
To walk the road alone
I'll live in memory's Garden dear,
With happy days we've known.
In Spring I'll watch for roses red
When fades the lilac blue,
In early Fall when brown leaves call
I'll catch a glimpse of you.
Should you go first and I remain
for battles to be fought
Each thing you've touched along the way
Will be a hallowed spot
I'll hear your voice, I'll see your smile
Though kindly I may grope
The memory of your helping hand
Will buoy me on with hope
Should you go first and I remain
To finish with the scroll
To make this life seem droll
We've known so much happiness
We've had our cup of joy
And memory is one gift of God
That death cannot destroy
Should you go first and I remain
One thing I'd have you do,
Walk slowly down that long lone path
For soon I'll follow you
I'll want to know each step you take
That I may walk the same
For someday down that lonely road
You'll hear me call you name.
Yours forever

Brigitte

Sweetheart,
Can you feel how much you are loved and missed??? I've been looking at pictures of you when you were a little boy. You were so precious! You would be thirty-nine today and we'd be doing something fun to celebrate. I hope you are doing something fun with your sweet grandpa. Just as you enjoyed life, I know you are enjoying all the glories of Heaven...
Happy Birthday Baby!

Rob;
I can't believe the time that has gone by another year and another successful task force season thanks to all of those men and women who like you are dedicated to the oath they took and do it for those that can't be there but are guided by the spirit of they're fallen brothers.
You have left a legacy to be extremely proud of and i thank you for giving people such as my husband the guidance and strength to persevere in the name of all that is good and holy.
I don't think i ever said thank you. I don't know of any word strong enough just THANK YOU for the privilige of knowing you in this life.
As i look at the calendar i see the day of you're birth is nearly here and very rapidly approaching is the day jesus took you into his ever loving kingdom, i realize that 2 years it does not seem espically when i reflect on our last conversation god how invincible you were to me.
On occasion when i run into the boys the topic is always you and we smile and laugh (for the most part) and i think how lucky they were to see you every day and sharing all of the best times in life with you .
Sentencing is over and 9 years seems like 9 months but how strong Brigitte and your family are never seems to amaze me i know how very proud you must be of them.
Now the healing can begin for alot of people and the memories and having you in our lives will continue to make us better people.
I'll always remember the sound of you're voice and greeting on the phone when i would answer, you always knew it was me without fail..Senta,Rob,you got the information i needed??? and of course i always said 'for you rob ??? anything you need' was usually how the phone end of that went.. the sound of you're voice still echos.
Rest in peace Robbie you earned a peaceful eternaty in a beautiful place.
