I heard the shots ring out Friday night but did not know what they were. At the time I heard them I shook my head knowing that "something" had happened. I awoke in the morning to the news. You took a job that helped ensure the daily safety of my family and friends and for that I will be forever grateful. May your friends and family find peace and comfort and may you, Scott Severns, rest in peace forever.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family, friends, and fellow LEO's during this time. You made the ultimate sacrifice, and it seems to define the word "hero" it would be you. I can't help but believe you would have done the same for anyone. So young, but so dedicated. The world is a lesser place without people like you.
Even in this most desperate time for those who love you, they surely feel a deep sense of pride because you became the man you are.
Rest in Peace, you are an angel of God now, Corporal Severns, and have raised the bar for all of us as we live our lives.

I know those that knew you well.
I laughed at the stories they had to tell.
I know you lived life to its fullest and you lost your life doing what you loved most...
Protecting the life of another.
You have a new job now, not unlike the job you had here... protecting your brothers still doing the work you did.
You will forever be the extra set of eyes, ears, and voice guiding your brothers.
Thank you for making the ultimate sacrifice.
You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Rest in peace, Sev.

I hope justice will be served to those jerks! Our justice system needs to put a stop to so many officers losing their lives in the line of duty. You all are doing your job to keep the streets safer for the community, but you have to put up with all the BS. Those men deserve the death penalty and should never see the outside again. You will and always will be a hero. Thank you!

"A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.Nothing is given to man on earth - struggle is built into the nature of life, and conflict is possible - the hero is the man who lets no obstacle prevent him from pursuing the values he has chosen." Thank you for your years of service and ultimate sacrifice. You are a true Hero.
