My heart aches to know you never got to meet your unborn son thanks to some psychotic evil person who requested law enforcement to help her and instead took out her rage on you very viciously. You sir are a hero to so many and I hope your son knows this. You'll never be forgotten.

To Officer Gary's family, friends and fellow officers,
As I read the comment from Rebecca, I believe that Officer Gary is in Haven along with my son, the great cloud of witnesses and other love ones that has gone before us. I pray that as you remember him and reflect on the many joyous moments you spent-with him while he was physically on this earth, may tears of joy and hope keep you in the presence of the Lord until Officer Gary meet you at the gates of Haven. God speed.....

Such a beautiful smile. You will never be forgotten. The legacy you have left on this earth is a positive one. An exceptional and commendable police officer, thank you for your service, for keeping people safe. It takes a strong and caring person to risk your life to help save the lives of others. I know I couldn't do it. I know you'll always be watching over your loved ones.

You knew him as Officer Gary Bevel. I knew him as my Butler High School friend. And, a good friend he was. As I reflect on our friendship, he was fun to be around, he loved to laugh and joke around. And, he could take a joke very well. I miss my friend. And he died much to soon.
I regret that my friend never got to see his unborn son. However, I did have the opportunity to speak with his son, who is now an adult. I enjoyed telling him good things about his father. The father he never got to meet.
R.I.P. my friend and Officer Gary Bevel!!!

I came across your story on "Deadly Women" and couldn't believe that someone could be so cruel, selfish, and cold-hearted. R.I.P.

I'm sorry your life was cut short by a selfish and heartless human being. You didn't deserve that, just doing your job and ensuring the safety of others. May you rest in peace.

I just saw the program where your story was shown. It's just so sad that a senseless no heart monster had to take your life. You died doing your job and for that, we appreciate you to the highest. I wonder where your rank with the Police Dept. would've been today, I know it would've been high, but that's alright, you are now in Heaven protecting God and his fellow angels such as you..Continue to fly high and protect..You are my hero..

She said he was my friend too. My sister thought your killer was released so I had to google it and up came this page.
