Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff James Francis McGrane, Jr.

My family and I also feel your loss. We have always believed that law enforcement officers are a special breed. My grandfather was a constable in old Santa Rita and my late husband served as an agent for NMABC. We grieve for your family.

Our sympathies to the family and department for your loss. I hope you can take comfort in the 23 Psalm.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want
he maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his names's sake.
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of thine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Deputy McGrane, You paid the ultimate price to serve your profession and your community. That will never be forgotten. Those that served with you and those of us that didnt will miss you and remember you for your sacrifice. As for the dirtbag that took your life, I am sure that there is a lot of passion behind the manhunt for this criminal adn I know there will be no rest until he is captured. To Deputy McGrane's family, I can offer you my condolences and prayers during this tragic time adn pray God fills your heart with comfort knowing he is in a MUCH better place.
