The staff and memebers of our internet radio station want to send our deepest sympathys to the family, friends and brothers and sisters in uniform and to let you know you will always be in our prayers and thoughts.
A Part Of America Died,
Somebody killed a policeman today,
And part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect that shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights.
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids,
And spend many long lonely nights.
The beat he walked was a battle field too
just as if he had gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
In your town or mine,
While we slept in comfort behind locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And stands at each new rookies' side.
He answered the call,of himself and gave his all,
And a part of America died.

“In The Line Of Duty”
In Memory Of All Police Officers
Who Have Been Called To Make The Ultimate Sacrifice

What is the meaning of "In The Line Of Duty"
It means that an officer made the Ultimate sacrifice.
It means that someone took an officers life.
A hero has fallen. Officers who gave their all
To protect and serve us
Have been killed by someone whom they swore
To protect and serve.
It means that their badge will no longer be on their chest
And they will join "The Best Of The Best"
It means that family and friends are left behind
To deal with the lost of a loved one.
Only having the memories of that loved one
Close to their hearts. Something no one can ever take away.
It means that family members will stand at the officers grave
And wonder why... Why would someone take an officers life
And leave them there to die?
If we only knew. Today an officer will place their badge on their chest
To fulfill the dreams of heroes killed "In The Line Of Duty"

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department. Since that evening, it has been very difficult for all of us to deal with this at the scene and the days following. I admire you brave ones, for you had to continue on that evening even after knowing that one of your brothers had been taken away needlessly. May the Supreme One who watches over us continue to be vigilant in our services.

Thank you brother for the time that you gave protecting us from the evils of the land. Now, may you be protected from any further harm.

Goodbye my brother, goodbye.
