Bill and I spent a lot of time together, this past weekend, doing some fishing...talking about you...thinking about you. I won't ever stop doing it, AJ, but fishing will never be the same without being able to share the experience and stories with you. I miss you, my brother.

Trooper Sperr,
My heart breaks for your family & friends as I too know the pain of losing a loved one in the line of duty. I'm so sorry that you went on to join my first husband who was also a state trooper (in N.C.). I pray that the Lord will wrap his loving arms around your family & carry them through the days/years ahead. I met your brother this past weekend in Stowe, Vt. and he shared with us why he has the license plate on his vehicle...I knew when I saw it that he must be a law enforcement survivor.
To your brother that I met in Vt....I didn't go into more detail because I didn't know if you were there to get away for a few days where people were not talking about your brother. But know that I wanted to give you a hug and tell you that I too am a survivor and know how hard it is to try to go on with your life when you heart is breaking. I know that Calvin has welcomed your brother into heaven and if he liked the outdoors like I read, they have probably been fising or hiking together. Take care and I will keep you in my prayers. Stay safe!

Andy- the park is absolutely beautiful! You would have loved EVERYTHING about it. We spent the other night with your family and today with your fellow co-workers getting the park ready for the 9th. They are all so wonderful! You would be so proud of them all! Everyone misses you. We are all devastated over your death. Please watch over all of your fellow Troopers and keep them safe. Rest in Peace. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

Andy,
I can not believe all the good that has come from your great loss. The park is a place for all to enjoy for many years to come. Everyday I look into the face of those who took you away from your family and want so bad to hate them for what they did. I reacall the words of your sister who said hate will hurt you from the inside out and I remember how you lived and loved the outdoors. This park will be a great tribute to you and remembering how you lived will be the only way to take us back. God bless you AJ and your family.

Just checked the progress of the memorial park. It's absolutely beautiful....you would have loved everything about it, especially how it's brought people together. It's been 5 months since we lost you today. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers daily. I wish for your family that time will replace the pain they are now feeling with warm comforting memories. God Bless you.

To Andrew's Family- I am so sorry for your loss, that doesn't even begin to cover how I feel for you. The next couple of years are going to be hard, especially when it comes time for the trial, but you have a lot of thoughts and prayers your way, everyday. I have a memorial sticker on my car to remind others of the sacrifice, but what he did and how you are is always in my heart. Kim Burgert, Bradford County Deputy, Chris Burgert's wife.

Andy- we spent the other day with your family. They are such an amazing group of people. Even though it has been months since your death, we have not forgotten. Your nephew AJ is just beautiful! He is a very special little boy to all of us! We will continue to look out for them and give them the support that they will need in the upcoming weeks and months. God Bless! Rest in peace.

AJ,
We miss you dearly. There is no one who can replace you or how thoughful and heroic you were. It is not how you died but as how you lived is what they stated on americas most wanted. That captures my thoughts. I wish you were here to keep my brother company.

AJ...The Silent Gun Memorial Challenge was a beautiful day with many generous people contributing to your scholarship fund. It was yet another emotional day remembering all the good times. Your nephews shooting skills would have made you proud. Miss you, brother.

Outstanding job, God bless you for staying in the fight. Without saying, your actions brought these cowards to justice. That shows your will power and training. Rest well my brother. We'll take it from here.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Everytime I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the man they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Trooper Sperr. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. You will be in my thoughts.
From reading all the reflections left for AJ, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember AJ's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that AJ's life was about so much more than the way he died. AJ will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.
Trooper Sperr, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been three years but we still miss him terribly.
Wishing you brighter and better days,
Jocelyne :)

Trooper Sperr, there is no doubt that the great state of New York lost one of its finest on that sad day. My prayers are with you, your family, and the New York State Police. Rest in peace, brother.
