2/27/06 7 years have gone by. I never thought I would make it thru the first year let alone 7. I wonder what you would have looked like at 38. I could go on and on but those aren't important. Important is that I loved you more than life itself. I miss you and your funny jokes. I have cried for so long but the tears keep coming. Watch over us all my dear son. Love never dies.

I didn't know Joe personally so to speak but I knew who he was for sure.. He was a couple of years older than me and when I was in school at the Oxford Rd Elementary in New Hartford I'd see him with his friends while he was on his lunch. In childhood terms (as I was only in the 6th grade), I suppose you could say I had a crush on him. I left New Hartford years and years ago, having never actually met him. The next time I saw him name was when it was in the news following his disgusting murder. My heart breaks for his family and friends. I will always have fond memories of the young man I admired from a distance.

Joe, My heart breaks every time I put up your XMas stocking. There are now 7 stockings around your bedroom door. You are so loved and missed. Allie asks about you all the time. But she never met you. Was born a few years after you went to heaven. I love and miss you. We need you here. I ask why did you have to go......Love you muchly Mom

Quote from our high school year book - Junior Year '92: "The year's almost over! No More Math! What is there to say, but the year went by so fast. It seemed to go by in an instant. One year left of high school, then party time. Good luck on the Regents, enjoy the good weather (and girls), and have a great summer."
We miss you Brother! Thank you for your service. We will never forget the sacrifice you made.
