Dearest Greg, Theresa, kids and family and my beloved CHP: As the anniversary of Greg's EOW approaches, my thoughts return to that awful day and how unfair it was that you were so close to home and some drunk SOB took your life!!

I hope your fellow officers make catching deuces a priority so these needless deaths and injuries can be prevented.

Greg, thank you for your service to our state and country!! You are truly a hero. Will be at Rancho to remember you.

Love, your new "Aunt"

P S: You will always be Greg, I know I hear you now, it sounds like Craig, I called you that just to get at you. You knew it and you just laughed.

Just thinking about you and your family today. You are so missed. You always did the right thing. You were such a GREAT person and when I see this page, I just cry. Think you for being you and doing the right thing all the time. Remember the saying " We always have Gemany", I have the tatoo to remember and you backed out. HAHA

John:
We have been thinking about you a whole lot today... missing you terribly and wishing you were still here with us. Memorial Day is a day to honor our Soldiers and today we raise a glass in memory of John Bailey.

Teresa and the kiddos... we miss you too and think about you often. It would be so nice to see you again. I am glad that you are happy in your new home.

Happy Memorial Day John. Thank you for your service and friendship. You are loved and missed.

John:

I met you as a crew chief on my EH-60 (your EH-60?) in the 11th ACR, Germany. We became best of friends, against Army policy, visited Spain together, hit all the clubs in Fulda and Frankfurt, went to see the Stones and pushed our way to the front... Met Teresa at your wedding. Visited you in CA once. Last saw you at Ft Indiantown Gap, PA, where you showed me whole photo albums of your family, then drug me to the country bars (kicking and screaming). Your name has made you hard to track down since I redeployed...yet today, I determined to do so, hoping to pay you a visit...I'm STUNNED to find this news. (Almost four years late.) I know how proud you were to be CHiP. I admire you for a life well-lived. A shadow has crossed my heart today.
I miss you, my friend.

Officer Bailey, we did not know one another personally but I remember working with you a few times when I was with the patrol out of Barstow. Your sacrafice is not forgotten. It is apparent you were a good father and husband by reading your families reflections. God Bless.

John,

It was my honor to know you and to have served with you in Iraq. Since our return to the states, I have joined the thin blue line. I talk about you with every CHP officer I talk to and am proud to say I knew you. I think about you every time I have to place the black mourning band on my badge, which is too often.

God bless you and your family,
Rat

Thinking of you! My prayers go to your family. You touched so many lives thru the years. You had such a big heart, you were always there, remember when you purchase King a plan ticket home before going to Germany, so he could see his family. You were the one when we all missed our familys due to distance and being young, you made us laugh and made us become a family. You were always the strong one. I guess I will have to pick my own self off the sidewalk now! (haha). Love ya. Again, my prayers go to your family, may they always know what a great man you were.

On this the third anniversary of your tragic death, please know that your memory is honored and revered today.
