Great great grandfather Court,
Your granddaughter Anna Mae Carl Bell was my grandmother. You left a long line of Houstonians who are very proud of your service and your ultimate sacrifice to the citizens of Harris County. Rest in Peace

It is good to see this entry. I grew up on the tall tale that he was shot through a bar room door. Indeed he was. He was also my great-grandfather's brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 114th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest in peace brother. I will be working with many officers such as yourself someday soon. You are an inspiration to me and you are what is means to be a police officer.
