Jared and family,

It happened again. Another senseless and untimely loss to our family, our community and our way of life. It hurts too much for words to ever express - please help us stay strong and watch out for Ken for us. You are still in all our thoughts and prayers and you are missed terribly.

To Natalie and all of the Jensen family and friends,
Though the events of recent days have surely dredged up memories and emotions from Jared's passing, it is important for you to know that not one day has passed where we have not thought of Jared, or all of you. He is constantly in our thoughts, and you are always in our prayers. We pray that God is giving you the strength to continue on in his memory.

Detective Jensen,
I want to thank you for your service to our community. I never met you but from reading these reflections it sounds like you must have been a great person and made a big impact on a lot of peoples lives. I will not forget when I heard the news about you. It really hit home having a brother in LE. My heart goes out to you and your family.

As you know, another officer was taken from us last night. Please help him to provide comfort to his family in their time of need due to this senseless tragedy.

To all law enforcement officers I want to thank you for the commitment that each of you make to your community to make it a safer place for people to live. THANK YOU

My dear Jared - I re-read some tributes our Otterbein friends wrote last night - their memories and stories of you, me, how we found each other, what we were together. We are so blessed to have walked this earth together - no matter the time, it is a gift. One that I need to remember I have been given eternally - always - forever...While the "why's" keep coming, my soul knows that I have been granted that "which comes to so very few". Grant me peace to rest in the comfort of that gift - for it sustains, it is stronger than death, it bears all things...

"Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, oh no, it is an ever-fixed mark." All my love,

Your Natalie

In the more than nine months since you were taken from us, thoughts of you are never far from my heart and mind. Your memory runs strong and your life and loss has not been forgotten.

November 27, 2006

My Dear Jared,

It is early morning, Thanksgiving Day and I cry. I miss you so much. The pain never leaves. But, Honey, the memories ... the sweet, blessed memories of you and our lives together never leave and for that I am thankful. God blessed me beyond measure when he allowed me to be you Dad.

In a message I sent to you on this site recently, I wrote: " ... You were a gift to this world, a copy of you will never exist ..." When you walked this earth, you were such a phenomenal man. A man of strength, passion, love, compassion, and courage. Unselfish to your core, you WERE truly a gift to this world. You have left a legacy that has and will continue to inspire thousands.

Please, my dear son, continue to be near me as I try to fulfill God's purpose for the rest of my earthly life.

I love you to and through eternity,

Dad
