Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Trooper Jimmy Ray Carty, Jr.

Dear Carty Family,

It's been over a year since you lost your husband, father, and son. I cannot begin to comprehend the loss of such an incredible man. I knew him for only a short time as he coached my son along with his own son on the football field. I feel honored and blessed to have known Jimmy for as long as I did and I am more honored to be a friend of his wife. I consider it a true blessing to enjoy watching Maddie and Justice grow up in our small town. I still enjoy watching Bryce on the football field where I know Jimmy is watching over him and coaching him from above. When I look into the small and innocent faces of Maddie and Justice I see Jimmy's spirit and love. When I see Christy holding those sweet babies while watching Bryce play football I know that Jimmy is sitting along side of them and cheering ever so proudly like any father would.
Jimmy may be gone but he is not forgotten. His wonderful spirit and his huge smile will live on in the little boys he coached and his own children he left behind. As for his wife, Christy, I wish you nothing but courage, strength, love and hope. Thank you for sharing your family with mine and allowing me to express my heartfelt message to you.

Love to you all,

My dear, sweet, precious son, it's taken me this long to get the courage to do this. Your Dad and I know you are with the Lord and that is the only thing that helps us make it through each day. While the circumstances of your death cannot be understood, we know God knows all things and we have to trust Him. Your babies will never forget you because you will live on for them in the sharing of our memories of what an exemplary young man you were and what an awesome man you became. Shawn and Tara miss you desparately, as well as do your neices and nephews. Thanks to all who have left reflections for Jimmy and for his family. Jimmy, I love you forever, I love you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be. A parent is supposed to go before their children.

Jimmy,

You left us way too soon. I'll never forget you and watching you "train" for the DPS via running the road and just dripping with sweat ---- pursuing your dream. And watching you play with your kids and holding and loving them. And that GREAT BIG smile that was always on your face will be the one thing I will always most remember. I know that you are in God's care now and if there is a way, you are watching over those babies and your loving wife. Know that you are not forgotten. I pray for Blessings for your family.

There are no words that I could ever write or say about my brother. From the moment he came into our life he was the special one. I remember the second our Mamaw answered the phone and told me and my sister Tara that we had a baby brother how very different my life became. We jumped up and down, I remember, on their pier and beam floor. We had to wait to see him. What pride I had. I didn't even know what love was. Then, after they brought him home, I brought my friends from my school bus in to our house to show him off. I don't think Momma was happy about that, but, oh well.

I have many memories.

Miranda, Jeffrey, Kelsi and my own, Kylee miss him terribly. He always took the time to share with them. They don't quite understand what has happened. Uncle Bubba will always be with them.

God Bless Trooper Carty's family and his family of Blue. No words can take the sadness away when a loved one is taken away before we on earth think it's time. I have experienced brother's in blue being taken before what I thought their time should have been. My prayers are with both families.
