Trooper Smith, it has been a long journey for you and your loved ones, I read these refelections each time a officer's life is taken, "gone but not forgotten" appears often. I hope you have not been forgotten for your sacrifice that tragic day, but where are all the reflections? An officer died just this week and there are so many reflections for him, do we forget those who serve? seven years in a nursing home since your injury.....have we forgotten? Is it just todays tragedy that we truly remember? and then for how long? Rest now Trooper Smith, you have earned it.
I remember!
