Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Stacy Edward McMurrough
The first anniversary has arrived of your EOW and I know those that love you dearly have thought of you every hour of every day over the past year. You will never be forgotten by those that love you nor will the Blue Family ever let your memory end. Continue to keep watch over your loved ones, appear to them in their dreams to let them know that you are near and keeping watch over them. You are a true hero and heroes never die. You will never be forgotten.

Well little brother, its been almost a year since you left us and I don't know if this will ever get any easier! You are in my thoughts everyday! Rest in peace my sweet angel and continue your watch over us from above. Your courage, committment and sacrifice helps give me the strength to face life each and every day with my head held high. I miss you big un, you may be gone but never forgotten. Love you, little bro.

Thinking of you today and every day little brother! I miss you more than words could ever say! I know that you are up there watching over us everyday, and that is what is getting me through all the hard times! Something happens everyday, and I think what would Stacy tell me to do! So, even though you are not here "Big Un", your memory and the man you were is helping me make some of the toughest decisions I have ever been faced with! I love you, my precious angel!

Stacy-
No matter what had happened & where life's roads haven taken us, I want you to know I Love You. There is not a day that goes by I don't think of you & everything we had. I drive through the cemetary & sit & talk to you. Little things happen through the day & I think "Stacy would get a kick out of this". I wish I could see your face & tell you everything I have inside. Right now my only peace is knowing one day we'll meet again but until then watch over all of us. I LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU EVER KNEW!!!!!!!
I'll never forget you.

Thinking about you Stacy
July 11, 2006
Stacy was the type of person that when you saw him, he would bring a smile to your face. Stacy had a heart of gold and a love for public service. He loved the lights and sirens... The last time I saw Stacy, I assisted him in blocking an intersection when former Sheriff Sam Pierson was laid to rest. Had I only known that would be the last time I would see him on this earth...
My heart goes out to the McMurrough family your loss.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Everytime I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the man they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Deputy McMurrough.
From reading all the reflections left for Stacy, he sounds like he was a great man and a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Stacy's life and the MAN that he was. His life was about so much more than the way he died. Stacy will continue to live on as long as we continuet to remember him. Please accept my condolences. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me.
Deputy McMurrough, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been three years but we still miss him terribly.
Wishing you brighter and better days,
Jocelyne :)
