God Bless Sergeant Prendes for his service to the Las Vegas community. We only have to look at him to know what a wonderful man he was. May his family be strengthened. He will not be forgotten. As a Trauma Team member, I am constantly in contact with LVMPD Officers and was most recently involved with the Brawl on the Strip. I left the Trauma Center Weds morning at 0930hrs. I personally know the professionalism of the Medical Care given our Law Enforcement Officers at UMC and am certain of the Life Saving effort given to Sgt. Prendes. I pray for God's Blessing on his soul and his comfort for the Prendes Family.

I am a native of Las Vegas, a 41 year old mother of one. My cousin is a police office for metro, his mother, my aunt, was one of the first female officers put on the streets of this city. I feel like the entire LVMPD is my family. My heart goes out to the force, and it goes without saying, to the family of the fallen officer. I want the entire force to know I respect all of you and the sacrifices you make for me and everyone in this city can never be repaid. I want to say "THANK YOU"!!! For the family of Sergeant Henry Prendes my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I will think about you now and always.
