To the Prendes family - in this time of loss, know that you have gained an Angel who will always watch over you. Our prayers are with you. Time heals all pain and we carry with us the beautiful memories of our loved ones. God has plucked a flower from his garden so that he may continue to bloom in His care in Heaven.

Every day we live our lives not always remembering the sacrifices that our own men and women, and their families, make each day of their own lives to protect our country and our communities that we live in. Being the fiancé of a Military member, we need to appreciate each day we are able to wake and live a new day, for we may never know when it will be our last. Sgt. Henry Prendes lived his life to protect this Las Vegas Community and though I did not have the pleasure to have known him, I thank him and his family for their unselfish sacrifice. To his girls, your words were precious, your father would be so proud! May God be with you all and see you through this difficult time. We have another angel watching over us!

It is shocking and hurtful to see a fellow member of the community to harmed in the way Sgt. H. Prendes was; however, being a born again Christian myself and able to attend the church ceremony and learning more about Sgt. Prendes. It has opened my eyes to better understand my belief and to carry-on in my duties, and placing Sgt. Henry Prendes as a mentor. I am glad that I was able to meet Sgt. Prendes several times two years ago, and he made me feel like we were friends for a long time. HE WILL BE MISSED! My prayers and blessings to his family.

Sincerely love and brother in Christ,

To Officer Prendes' wife, Dawn,
It was heartbreaking to hear of your loss Dawn. It is obvious that you have lost your true love, and there's not much I can say, but I hope that your faith in God will help you cope with your loss. You have many friends here in town, and we all feel your pain.

To the Family of Sergeant Henry Prendes, After seeing your beautiful daughters speak of him, one can only tell what kind of a man and father he was. What a blessing it was for all who knew him and all of the lives he touched. Your faith and love is beautiful and touching and God is now being shown to so many because of the example the family is setting. He wasn't just a hero as a police officer, he was a hero as a man of God. Bless you all. Remember there are no good byes with God.

To the Prendes family, I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to all of you. I did not know Henry, but I was still served by his selfless act and his devotion to duty. Henry was one of my rookies. Even in those early days I knew he was special. He truly cared about his job and knew what it meant to serve our community. When I was a lieutenant and he was an officer at Northeast Area Command, he was always there to help out, volunteer, and do whatever it took to make things better. People - civilians, would come to me unsolicited and tell me how special he was. He made such a difference, I can't begin to tell you how much. Henry, God has always blessed you. Thank you for being in our lives. We will look after your family in any way we can; as a Metro family and among those who made it through our tour of duty. GOD Bless you. We will miss you brother.
