May we in the United States not forget those officials who serve inside jail and prison walls, guaranteeing our safety by making sure the criminals stay behind bars.

many people dont realize how hard and stressful a correctional officers job is.Many movies, police officers, and general public make us out to be dirty, Guards, and wanna be police, but dont have the courage to take off their gun and every other weapon they have and walk a tier by their self of over 100 inmates that are doing life and have nothing to protect yourself with except a can of pepper spray. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. god bless. Marylands boldest (correctional Officers) will never forget.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and to your family. Not many understand the type of job we have and the outcomes that may occur. I salute you for undertaking this demanding job, it it sad that it had to complete in such an untimely way, I had only met you a few times at UMMS, but I really enjoyed the times, you will be surely missed.

As a survivor of a LEO killed in the line of duty and also sister of a correctional officer, my heart breaks for your family & friends. I know the pain, depression, fear, etc. that they may go through. It's a long road but know there are many of us who will lift you up in our prayers. People don't often think about correction officers or the risk that they face everyday just like any other officer. Thanks Officer Wroten for your service to the citizens of Md. and for helping keep all those prisoners where they belong.
