Thank you for your dedicated service to your community and your department. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May they never forget your faithful service to your community and department and the brave HERO that you were. To Detective Piskator's son, family, friends and co-workers, our heartfelt prayers and sympathies are with you. May God be with you all during this very sorrowful time. Words will never compensate the loss you have suffered. We pray that He now gives you all strength in your time of need. May you find peace in the thought, that we as friends in law enforcement, take this time to lift you up in prayer.
For your act of unselfish bravery and courage Detective Piskator, we salute you. Blessed are the peacemakers.

Last year, my husband and I did some R & R in Key West where we had the pleasure of meeting some of the KWPD officers. We are saddened to learn of this loss to your agency and to the law enforcement community at large. To all who mourn his loss, know that many people from many different places are thinking of you. And in ways we may never understand, we are all connected and share in your loss.
Heartfelt sympathies from the Wisconsin Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors.

John;
I did not work with you long but most of my time at KWPD was spent on your shift. I will never forget the day God called you home. I will never forget sending all of those units to help you; and keep Him from taking you so soon. I am honored and feel extremely privileged to be asked to announce your last call. May you rest in peace.

John,
I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of your passing. We didn't work together for very long but in the time I knew you I grew very fond of you. You always had a big smile on your face and seemed to enjoy everything you did, especially when it came to work. I remember how you never hesitated to jump on the radio and take a call if you were in the area; you were always my “go to guy.” How you could get from one end of town to the other so fast on your bike was astonishing to me! So many officers could learn how to be a real professional from your example.
To most it would seem that you left us far too early, but obviously God has bigger plans for you. Just know that while you were here, you made a real difference in many lives and you will always be loved. You, and your son, are forever in my thoughts and prayers…
