My husband is a Deputy Sheriff and recently received a Card from your daughter. I cannot tell you how much it touched his heart to be thought of by a child. Having an 11 year old daughter, it really meant a lot to him. You should know, your daughter has a heart of gold and has obviously been taught to have respect for others. She is very proud of her daddy, and it shows.

Oh, your kids miss you so much. You were such a good Dad that the shoes you left to fill are so big, no one can. Mara misses you so much. She feels like you are fading from her memory even though I tell her stories and show her pictures.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 4th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Forgive me for missing the anniversary of your E.O.W., but I felt as though I could not continue to read about so many tragedies. I now realize the visit each day to leave a word of encouragement and hope to the loved ones of others, helps me to remember that I am not alone with my pain and heartbreak. So may I say to your friends and loved ones that my thoughts and prayers are with them now and always. Continue to keep watch over them and those still out on patrol and may they know you will never be forgotten.

I just wanted to say you are missed everyday. I reflect often on our fun time as kids. You were my first playmate. I remember we used to empty my toy box and play in there. The drag was picking up all those toys. I will never forget how you used to pick at my finger nail if were were holding hands. I miss you dearly. Sylvia is so much like you that it is uncanny. She will point to your picture and say "My Daddy" even though you were taken before she was born.
Jacob looks more like you every day and Mara is learning so much in Kinder and she talks about how Daddy is in heaven with God.
