Kylie and Maddie went with us to the Jonas Bros. concert,
WOW!! What an adventure that was, we took three girls ages 10, 9 and 7, and two 16 year olds to Akron!!! Kylie kept saying, "What were we thinking??" I think that they had fun
though!! My how times have changed, I didn't go to my first concert until I was twenty!!
The kids are growing so much!!! Maddie is such a pretty little girl, and Hayden is just as cute as can be!! They miss you, and talk about you, you even were part of the
conversation of the different colors of M&M's that they were eating one day when I had them with me. I'm so glad that they keep you in their everyday lives, I know Kylie does a wonderful job making sure that it is that way, and will always be that way!!!
We all miss you so much!!!
We love you!!

Ethan;
Your mom and I attended the London Police Officers Memorial last week. It was a nice ceremony, and we felt for the poor family members that were there for their loved ones that they lost, and for the ones that just recently lost theirs this past year, we know how hard it is, and the daze they must be in. We left our flowers at your name on the wall, and I took pictures of your flag, and I even have your mom in a couple of the pictures, you know how rare that is to get her picture, but it is a part of you and so she was very willing to do it. We spent your mom and dad's wedding anniversary with them last weekend along with Nick and Allie too. Nick is doing so well in school!! He works very hard!! Allie is growing up, she is quite the little individual!! Madison and Hayden are both growing up so much too! They are as cute as can be!! Madison so much reminds us of you at that age, those looks, the smurks, and those smart little comments she comes up with. I'm sure they will both grow up to be wonderful adults, as you did!
You are always in our thoughts and we love and miss you very much!!
Love,
Aunt Lori

Dear Deputy Collins.
Bumped into your memorial on a newly founded Law Enforcement Group online, and thought the right thing to do was to first stop by here and leave my tribute to you and he ultimate sacrifice you did.
Reading through the reflections on here makes me feel like i almost knew you, you where obviously loved, honored and a great Deputy.

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.
