Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Lester Dewayne Tatum

I am always so saddened to read of another line of duty death. It breaks my heart to think of the pain and suffering the family and friends of Deputy Tatum are going through at this time. Deputy Tatum is an angel now, looking down from heaven and embracing you all with his love. He will help you with this very painful journey you have just begun. Please know that the first few weeks are the hardest - and while the pain never goes away, it does get softer with time. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Deputy Sheriff Tatum, thank you for your service and sacrifice. You are a true hero. May you rest in peace, Blue Angel.

As the year comes to a close, another of our brave hero's takes his place in heaven where he will guide and protect us. Rest now and know we will continue to hold the thin blue line, as we watch over your family and fellow officers in this time of need.
