I could not believe the unfortunate manner these officers lost their lives trying to protect others from crossing this defective bridge, only to fall victim themselves. My sincere condolences and prayers go out to the family, friends and the Jersey City Police Department on the tragic loss of these Officers. I sincerely hope and pray this incident will be thoroughly investigated and justice be served to both families as this senseless loss of life appears to be preventable.
