To the family & friends of Officer Carson, I send my deepest condolences. I did not know Officer Carson but I did know Officer Nguyen.

As the wife of a police officer, I pray everyday to bring him home to me & our family. My heart goes out to all who knew him & dealing with this tragic loss. After reading the reflections on your son, brother & friend, it sounded like he was very much loved & respected.

The life of a police officer is not easy & many times challenged by many. He risked his life DAILY to protect others. There are no other words to describe him other than "SELFLESS" & "HERO".

Brother Shawn,

We little knew that evening that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.

Shawn always lit up a room wherever he went with his smile. I could always count on Shawn to brighten up any situation. Being around Shawn, you couldn't stay sad or mad very long.

Both Shawn & Robert are proof of the everyday dangers Police Officers expose themselves to in protecting the citizens of the City they served.

They gave themselves in the line of duty to prevent to an innocent citizen, what happened to them. They are Heroes and to their family, we grieve with them on their loss.
