As officers we never know if we are going to be called HOME while on duty. Nothing I can write will make lose any less painful. But remember you will alway be be in the hearths of those who loved you. Officers are special breed. Many want to do our job, but only a few are lucky enough to do it. Thanks. And GOD speed.

Officer Manny it is with great sadness that I leave this reflection of you. Even though we are 1000's of miles away, we still strive for the same results. To make this world a better place to live. I think you did just that. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. God Bless you and your family in the days and years to come.

As I prepare for the holidays, I constantly think of the families that are forced to spend Christmas without their cherished child, spouse, father/mother. A soul mate who gave his/her all for this job. This job that we have chosen because we love it. This job which forces us to spend time away from our own family and friends to help someone else's...
Officer Manny, Thank You from the bottom of my heart for loving "This Job". Continue your watch from the heavens above, your families need you. God Bless your wife and children, your family of officers & dispatchers and your entire community.

There are no words that I can say to ease your pain... I know. I am so sorry for your loss. Just know that Erick is with you always.
"We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you that day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again".
You and your family are in our thoughts. Sincerely, Survivors of Deputy David Grant, EOW 5-31-2004
