Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Officer Henry "Hank" Nava, Jr.

Hank,
You ended your shift today, and a City, a State, and a Nation mourned your passing.
You were a Blue Warrior who put yourself in harm's way every day to protect those who could not protect themselves.
I am thankful that I was allowed into your room last night to say goodbye. You fought the good fight up until the very end. Your brothers and sisters in Blue will take it from here. I will miss you my friend. You may have ended your shift here on earth, but I know you will be watching over us every day and standing by each new rookie's side.
The coward who shot you and then surrendered without a fight will soon have his justice!
May God be with you, your family, and the entire Fort Worth Police Department.
You have earned the right to walk a beat on Heaven's streets! God bless Hammerin' Hank Nava!

I have been keeping up with this story on the local D/FW news. This was such a tragic incident.
By all accounts Officer Hank Nava was a top notch cop. I did not have the honor of knowing him but it makes no difference. He was one of my brothers in blue.
It is my solemn prayer that his family, friends and co-workers experience the eternal love and endless blessings of our Lord and Savior. I also want them to know that there are folks all across this country that will lift them up in prayer.
May God keep safe from harm the men and women of the Fort Worth Police Department.
I'm so very, very sorry.
