Today we have lost one the finest Law enforcement professionals I have ever had the honor and privilege of knowing and working with. Hank Nava was tireless in his dedication to law enforcement, and always there for a friend in time of need. Anyone who met Hank was a better person for knowing him.
My family's prayers are with the Nava Family.
Watch over us from above my Brother.

Brother Nava,
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Respectfully,
You’re Brothers in Blue

Another sad story of a fine officer struck down in the prime of his life and career by a piece of scum, whose own mother had cast him off.

This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; If revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. (Romans 13)
Officer Nava you definitely earned your brothers respect, and it's an honor to call you a brother. Rest in peace, you will not be forgotten.

To the wife, children, family and friends of Officer Nava as well as all in law enforcement:
Ron and I have been following this story online through your local stations since seeing the initial coverage on officer.com. We just watched the press conference and were moved to tears by the emotion shown on the faces and in the words of all involved. What I saw was the utmost in "brotherhood" that comes with being in a law enforcement family. My hope is that this, along with your faith, will help to get you through the difficult days ahead.
Mrs. Nava:
The strength you showed by appearing at that press conference so soon after your husband's death is amazing to me. Draw on that strength and your faith now as you and your babies begin the most difficult journey of your lives. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you, as well as all those who have been touched by this tragic loss.
