Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and twenty-eighth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

I am so glad you are finally being honored. Thank you for your bravery. I know Heaven is fun up there... I bet you heroes get special parties and everything. :-) THANK YOU for your sacrifice. It means just as much (in my heart) now as it did in 1881.

Say hi to Pete, too. (Peter Grignon, LMPD, EOW 3/23/05)
