Reflections for Officer Edward H. Berry
Officer Berry,
On today, the 70th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army as a member of the 98th Infantry Division in the Pacific during World War II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Papaw Berry,
It has been a little over a year since Grandma died to join you in Heaven. She lived to be 100 but never remarried. Ironically, she was buried the day you died, 61 years later. She was a special lady and told us a lot of stories about you.
Mom and Uncle Charlie hold the fondest memories of you and I'm sure you would have spoiled your grandchildren as much as you did them.
Thank you for being a guardian angel and watching over us as I know you do.
Love you!

Uncle Ned,
I did not know you, as you died before I was born. I did not realize that it happened the same year I was born. I just remember my parents telling me about you. "Thank you" does not seem adequate, but it is heartfelt. May you rest in peace until we meet.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 58th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I hold your family in my heart's embrace today. To your grandaughter and nephew, thanks for sharing a family's never-ending devotion.
Rest In Peace

Papaw -
I never knew you, but you have lived through the stories that my Mom has told me about you. I have always been very proud of your service as a policeman. I used to look for your picture on the IPD memorial whenever it was at the Indiana State Fair. I have told my children about you, and they too are honored to be your descendant. Rest-in-peace.
Much love to you Papaw Berry!
