Reflections for Constable Otis H. Hendrix

This was my great Grandfather. His son Robert, was my grandfather whose son Bradley was my father.
My grandfathers recollection of his father was that the wasn't a very nice man. I suppose that was more about the time and his chosen profession than anything else. Regardless, my Grandfather was already living in Big Bear California when this went down.
Something not mentioned here is that they dug the bullet out from the BACK of his belt buckle. Meaning that the club owner was likely not responsible for his death.
I am glad that he's been honored and remembered for his service.
At this date, my grandfather, his brothers Frison and Howard, and my father Bradley are all gone. I know that there was an Alene (Not sure of the spelling) but I do not know the other family members. Having grown up in California and only been to Texas once (Dallas and not Pampa) we were definitely estranged. Frison and my grandfather Robert both had a great sense of humor. They lived well and are missed.

Otis Hendrix is/was my great grandfather. I never met him but have heard stories how a wonderful and a good man and father he was. My grandmother, Allene Hendrix-Horton (age 90) still today does not know the name of person who shot her daddy. I am doing some research and I would like to have this question answered if anyone out there knows who shot my great-grand-daddy. Thank you.
