I live in Ohio and work for the same company as Andy's mom. I wish to offer my sincerest heartfelt sympathy to Pat on the loss of her beloved son. I only know Pat through email & telephone, but she is a kind and helpful warm individual. Have faith in the Lord and he will show you the way. May Andy rest in Peace, and I thank every soldier, police officer and fireman that everyday risk their lives for all of us.

We are so sorry to here about your tragic loss of a loved one in law enforcement. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in support. As we personally know, sometimes there is little comfort that comes from words. Keep focused as you can on the memories and joyous times for these things may bring you comfort. Rely heavily on family, friends, and other law enforcement. Honor your fallen loved one, for their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Andy may you rest in peace knowing that you died a hero and protector by so many. May your family and friends find solace in the road ahead. We know the pain and the emptiness that they feel and pray everyday that they too can make sense of it in time. God speed sir, we have the watch from here.

It is people like you, Officer Stevens, who inspire me to pursue my career in law enforcement. Although, I never got the chance to know you or meet you I know what you stand for and the dangers that you and every officer faces in the field, but through those very moments you stood courageously. You made the ultimate sacrafice to the community which you serve and no one can ask for more. Thank you for your service and God bless you and your family.

(ANDY) WHAT WILL WE DO

Where do you start to tell the story of a man
Who spent his life helping people as best one can
Day to day he’d be watching out for you and me
Always knowing there was no guarantee
He’d be first in line with a hand for a friend
And would see it through all the way to the end
Always found a way to come safely home each day
Somehow knowing he could never turn away
An angel got its wings on that autumn afternoon
They were well deserved it’s true
Standing strong against evil for me and you
Andy, what will we do
It was a routine stop out on a country road
Maybe a ticket or a warning we’ll never know
The stop turned out it seems to have ended Andy’s dreams
Hidden danger gone unseen
I guess all that’s left is to kneel down and pray
With the Good Lord’s help we’ll get through another day
It hurts so much inside but with time it will subside
We will meet again someday for one more ride
An angel got its wings on that autumn afternoon
They were well deserved it’s true
Standing strong against evil for me and you
Andy, what will we do
Standing strong against evil for me and you
Oh Andy, what would you do
