We all know the potential danger in the people we stop and the empty buildings we check, but it's the common every day things like a flight of stairs that can end our careers and even our lives that we rarely give thought to. That was all it took to rob Patrolman Smith's family of him that cold night in February.

Little doubt he continued to watch over his family, and he beat for many years after and keeps constant watch on all his decendants.

God Bless and Rest in Peace.
