To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 66th anniversary year of your death.
Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

As your namesake I have many heard stories as my brother Jimmy and my cousin Rich have stated. The single most important for me was that we are here to help others that cannot help themselves. We all try and uphold that traditon that began with you and continues today. All your grandchildren and great grandchildren will try and achieve the standard you had set.

Like my cousin Rich, Dad and Uncle Bill have never let us forget how much of an impact you had on their lives and how that has carried over to our generation. Now I have the honor of telling your great-grandson these same stories about a family hero. I like to think that as a soldier in combat, I carry his guidance, wisdom and protection.
