Reflections for Police Officer Brian Howard Jackson
My sincere condonlences to the family and co-workers of Ofc Jackson. Another coward has taken a good Officer from you. Always remember the good times and remember what good Ofc Jackson did for the City of Dallas. I am sure he touched many lives.

No amount of words from any of us can ease your grief and suffering at the lost of your husband, and bother officer. But remain strong in your faith and know god as a plan for us all. Take comforted in knowing you will see Brian again as we walk the streets of heaven. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. All the law enforcement community across the country feels you’re lost as well, we to have lost a bother in the fight. So it’s with a heavy heart we send our deepest sympathy to your family, the Dallas Police Department and New York City Police Department. Rest in peace sir, you may be gone but know you will never be forgotten.

My fiancé, Dennis McElderry, was the first law enforcement casualty of 2003. Dennis was a Deputy Sheriff with the Davis County Sheriff's Office in SE Iowa. Dennis died doing a job he loved, just as I'm sure Brian did. It saddens me to know that Dennis was not the first to die in the line of duty, nor will he and Brian be the last to die this way.
Having gone through the pain of losing Dennis I can truly understand and feel the pain that Officer Jackson's family, friends, and co-workers are going through in losing him. My heart goes out to you all, especially to his wife. No one can truly understand the pain of loss until they've walked in our shoes. Please know that my thoughts are with you and that you are not alone in your "journey". Should you ever need anything please do not hesitate to contact me. (The Davis County Sheriff's Office will always know how to reach me or write jocelyne1974 at canada dot com)
As a fallen officer "survivor" and a friend, please accept my condolences on behalf of myself and the McElderry family. I never got the opportunity to know Brian but, I am certain he was well respected and well loved. Brian will live on in the hearts of all the lives he touched. You were all blessed to have been able to know and love Brian, even for a short time. I pray that Brian, Dennis, and all the other fallen officers will continue to watch over us all as only they can.
Thank you Officer Jackson for a job well done and for helping to make this world a safer place for us all. Please say "hello" to my fiancé Dennis for me.
Wishing you and all those who's lives you touched brighter and better days,
Jocelyne :)

Brian was a wonderful officer and a great friend. He came to work everyday ready to take on whatever came his way, and did it with honor and pride. His laugh, smile, and constant joking around with co-workers will forever be missed and leave a hole in our station and department. We miss you bro. Watch and guide us from above.
