My sincere condolences to the friends, co-workers and family of Officer Brian Jackson. Without the dedication of professional officers like Brian Jackson, we would live in a world that was full of chaos. I pray that peace, courage, strength, consolation and comfort will be found at this time.

To the family and friends of Officer Brian Jackson, his fellow officers with the Dallas Police Department, and most especially to Officer Jackson:

On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Brian was so brutally murdered. Our family grieves with you and for you. We share your agony as we lost our beloved Larry Lasater when he also was fatally shot during a foot pursuit on April 23rd. Officer Jackson's valor and dedication will always be remembered.

Rest in Peace, Officer Jackson. You are and will remain a hero to us.

May your family be comforted by their law enforcement family, and other police survivors. There will be many who will stand by your side on the difficult journey you now face.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the service Officer Jackson gave to his community, and the citizens of Texas, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on November 13, 2005.

I hope the coward that shot Officer Jackson is punished to the fullest extent that the law allows in Texas. I'm so proud to say that Texas is one of the states that has the death penalty. I hope the family & friends always remember this officer's bravery and courage.Officer Jackson your shift is over now, we will take it from here. Rest in peace, brother...
