Reflections for Deputy Shadron Kiley "Shad" Bassett
MY GOD, this happened just today. Bad news travels so fast. The initial shock for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department and mostly, his immediate family is just setting in. The hearts of all Deputy Bassett's brothers/sisters in uniform go out to the family.
Deputy Bassett, the sacrifice you made in the service of others makes you a hero who will be missed by us all, though of course, mostly by those who knew and loved you.
May they take comfort in knowing that though you may have left this life physically, so long as your memory lives, you'll be with them always.
God Bless you and may you Rest in Peace.

During the academy (04-157) I enjoyed Shad's sense of humor. He was a great guy, always positive with strong family devotion.
Shad was truly a guy you could count on.
My heart goes out to his family.
